Mumbai: Nemetschek Group India today announced that Archicad Studio, its architectural BIM subscription from Graphisoft, is now listed on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), the Government of India's official public procurement portal.
With this listing, central and state government departments, public sector undertakings, autonomous bodies, and other GeM-registered buyers can procure Archicad Studio annual subscriptions directly through the portal.
Why this matters for public sector projects
Government design cells, PWD offices, and in-house technical teams often work as small units — a handful of architects and engineers producing drawings, documentation and coordination models for projects that then move outward to consultants and contractors. Getting professional BIM capability into those teams has historically meant either licensing built for far larger studios, or staying with drafting tools that stop short of a model-based workflow.
Archicad Studio is built for that scale. The GeM listing covers a per-user, one-year subscription to the Enterprise Edition, supporting parametric modelling and Building Information Modelling, site layout and master planning, 2D drafting and 3D modelling, massing studies, space planning and interior layout tools, energy and sustainability analysis, rendering and visualisation, quantity take-off, clash detection, and IFC/openBIM compatibility.
It runs on Windows and macOS, is delivered by digital download, and includes a year of OEM support covering patches, bug fixes, and version upgrades.
Procurement made simpler
Until now, departments interested in Archicad had to route the purchase through their own vendor onboarding and tendering processes. The GeM listing removes that friction: the product is catalogued, priced, and available for on-portal purchase, with the audit trail and compliance that GeM procurement is built around.
